Didcot, UK – 24 June, 2025 – Didcot Runners has announced the return of its highly anticipated Didcot 5 charity race and fun run, taking place on Sunday, 6th July 2025. The event, sponsored by Perpetual Childcare, is set to bring the community together for a morning of fitness and fun, with proceeds supporting two important local causes, Earth Trust and Style Acre.
The annual Didcot 5 event features a flat and fast five-mile road race, perfect for those new to running as well as seasoned runners aiming for a personal best. The two-mile fun run will follow and is open to participants of all ages and abilities.
Proceeds from the Didcot 5 will go directly to Earth Trust, a charity dedicated to inspiring people to address climate, biodiversity and wellbeing with the power of natural green spaces, and Style Acre, which provides support and opportunities to people with learning disabilities. By lacing up for this event, participants will actively contribute to causes that make a meaningful difference in Didcot and the surrounding area.
"The Didcot 5 has become a real highlight of our calendar," said Sarah Rogers, Chair of Didcot Runners. "It’s not just about the running; it’s about bringing the community together to support two incredible organisations that are so vital to Didcot. The event offers something for everyone - from seasoned athletes chasing personal bests to newcomers looking for a fun and rewarding challenge. We're proud to support the invaluable work of Earth Trust and Style Acre, and we’re looking forward to seeing runners of all abilities come together to make a real difference in our community."
Organised by Didcot Runners, the event is supported by Didcot Town Council, Didcot Town Football Club, Rowse, Specsavers Didcot, Tesco, The Fitness Experts, William Jones Estate Agents and Willowbrook Leisure Centre.
