Burning Questions Answered Here

Am I good enough to come along?

  • We have weekly sessions on Tuesday (19:00 Long Run/Short Run)and Thursday (19:00) starting at Willowbrook Leisure Centre and in the summer months from the Wittenham Clumps Earth Trust car park on Thursdays.

  • Our Tuesday sessions have two routes to choose from. A longer route of approx 10k / 6 miles and a shorter option of approx 6k (3 to 4 miles). If you can run for 30 minutes (however slowly), or complete a Parkrun, then you can do the shorter option. If you can run for 50 minutes continuously (at whatever pace suits you) then you will be easily able to complete one of the runs on offer.

  • Thursday sessions may be split between Coaches and Run Leaders depending on numbers and activity and are interval / endurance based.

  • If you are an absolute beginner (just started or never having run before) you are welcome to come and join in our Thursday Sessions or you could contact us to discuss how we can help get you started.

  • We also run beginners sessions please contact us for more details

Do I need Club Kit?

We have our own club kit to purchase and once you are a paid up member and are using your club affiliation to obtain discounts in races, you will need to wear the club colours at those races. Kit can be ordered direct by you from K & K Warehouse, Unit 2 Harrier Park, Southmead Industrial Estate Didcot. OX117PL.  Telephone: 01235 516699. All kit has been agreed with the Committee and will be printed on approved kit. Any special requests for kit, please contact a member of the committee.

Is anything expected of me?

We only ask that you book yourself into a session via www.runtogether.co.uk and come along for a couple of sessions and see if this is right for you before joining up. (This doubles up as emergency contacts and club register on the night) Once a runner has been a member for a while, they will be encouraged to help the club by volunteering to help out with club activities. We ask that all members decline to race the Didcot 5m that the club organise, and instead volunteer to help. The race is usually held on the first Sunday in July.
