As you know we raised money for two charities from our Didcot 5 event in July - Be Free Young Carers and the Earth Trust - and I am pleased to inform Didcot Runners that we have raised £1,600 for each charity.
We are having a presentation night on 25th October from 7:30pm at the Long Wittenham Athletic Club (Bodkins Sports Field, Long Wittenham, Abingdon, OX14 4QW) and it would be great if you were available to celebrate with the club and the charities. Representatives from both charities will be attending to receive the cheques.
The evening starts with a buffet (the Didcot Runners will provide the food please) and then the presentations to the charities takes place around 8pm (during which the charities give a brief description of what is is they do and an idea of what the money will go towards). The event usually finishes around 10:00 - 10:30pm (but there is no obligation to stay to the end).
